in April of that year Rough stock’s Matt Bjorke gave the song a five-star rating, praising Janson’s vocals as well as the arrangement. On the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts for the week ending May 1, 2010, the single debuted at No. 56. Janson left BNA after the label was reformed. He played harmonica on Tim McGraw’s 2012 single “Truck Yeah, which he co-wrote.
In early 2015, Janson self-released the single “Buy Me a Boat.” After receiving exposure on the Bobby Bones Show, the song debuted at No. 33 on the Hot Country Songs chart. In May 2015, Warner Bros. Records Nashville released it as a single, and by August, it had been Janson’s first top-5 success. Janson stated in September that his debut studio album (also named Buy Me a Boat) would be released in October.
On the third day of the 2016 Republican National Convention, Janson performed. Everybody, Janson’s second Warner Bros. album, was released in September 2017. The album’s first single is “Fix a Drink,” which was followed by “Drunk Girl” in 2018. In 2019, “Good Vibes” was released. Keith had his first sold-out headline gig at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on February 6, 2018.
Family Life of Chris Janson:
“He is electric on stage and absolutely unpredictable,” Nashville Gab remarked. His live show reminds me of a wild horse that refuses to be tamed. Every show he puts on has a blue-collar, redneck edge that is sorely lost in today’s country music. Chris Janson is the country music star of the future.
Janson released the track “Buy Me a Boat” in early 2015 without the help of a label. The song rocketed into the Top Ten of the country charts after being played on the nationally syndicated country radio show The Bobby Bones Show, earning Janson a deal with Warner Bros. in the spring and a performance place on the CMT Music Awards presentation in June. “Buy Me a Boat” was a hit that summer.
